Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy is a highly effective blend of CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and Hypnotherapy. Studies have shown that this combination produces an 80% more effective treatment than CBT alone. This treatment produces rapid results and is termed “brief therapy” as a consequence. CBT is the treatment of choice of the NHS in the UK for anxiety based disorders.
CBT is a very practical type of therapy and therefore easily understood. The therapy helps clients to see that we are largely responsible for our own emotional upsets. “We are not disturbed by events, but by the view we take of them” (Epectitus, Greek philosopher).
Using a simple model, clients are helped to recognise that their own unhealthy ways of thinking are responsible for the resulting unhealthy emotions. That being so, it follows that by re-training to think differently, we can have a positive effect on our emotions.
The techniques equip the client to take care of their own emotional health for life.
